Paintings from Yosemite

Half Dome, Watercolor, 16 x 16

These watercolors were painted during my trip to Yosemite at the beginning of the summer. Martha, Teri and Betty invited me to join them for a week long workshop in Yosemite with Fealing Lin, who gave great demos and critiques.

It was a great week with beautiful views, lots of nice artists and seni-roughing it in a tent-cabin in Curry Village.

Oh yes, brings back beautiful memories when you kindly invited me to spend a long weekend with you and family and of course, an environment oozing with artiness! Big smile here!

These paintings are such well done watercolor plein air I always loved your bold approach to watercolors!

Since I can't pick my favorite, today it is Happy Isles because I like the movement and the abstract quality about it.

Thank you for your kind words! Yes, it was a fabulous trip we had in Yosemite country! Have you painted from any of your photos? We really should plan another get-together ASAP!

No I haven't, I wanted to the charts first lol And maybe get some plein air skills under my belt so I can apply them to the photos. Have you painted for the photos?
