Silk Painting Demo - Part 3


Here's the finished olive green field surrounding the sun. It's still wet now, and will be lighter as it dries.

Tune in next week when I'll show you the salt texture technique in the border of this piece.

How long does it take to dry? That's the toughest part of painting for me, waiting

Hi Lee, I can relate! Small sections take maybe a little longer than watercolor, but an entire section like the olive green in the sample can take more than an hour (weather is a factor). Like watercolor, though, you can usually work on one section while another is drying...
